Running with the Bulls in Pamplona is a lot easier said than done - that's why so many people are joining the Runner's Club. Any member is considered a Cadete, a runner in training.
Any person who ran with the bulls in Pamplona for the first time can proudly call themselves an official runner, a Corredor Oficial
Anyone who has run with the bulls in Pamplona more than once is considered a Corredor Bravo, a brave runner
Bull runners who find themselves returning frequently for another run, are considered Fanáticos; people who are crazy about running. Anyone who has run five or more times is ranked as a Corredor Fanático.
To some people bull running is a passion, and an important part of life. In the words of Joe Distler, who has been running with bulls since the 1970s, "When you wait for the bulls to come rambling at you [...] you are alive as you are a few times in life". (Joe Distler in The Bulls Of Pamplona). We call these people who have run more than 50 times, Corredores Aficionados.
